What's in Your Lunchbox?
At Lincoln Middle School, there are two kinds of lunch. You can buy lunch in the cafeteria, or you can bring a lunchbox from home. Jake usually brings a lunchbox. Today, Bára asks him about it.
"What's in your lunchbox today?" "A peanut butter and jelly sandwich, an apple, some chips and a juice box." "A sandwich with peanut butter and jam? Together?" "Sure! It's the most popular sandwich in America!"
"How much juice is in the box?" "Not much. About 200 milliliters." "And how many chips are in the bag?" "I don't know. A lot!"
Bára laughs. In Czechia, her school has a canteen, and she has a hot lunch every day. First, there is soup. Then there is meat or fish with potatoes, rice or dumplings. There isn't much sugar, and there aren't many chips!
Today, Bára has the cafeteria lunch: chicken, rice, some salad and a carton of milk. "It's good," she says, "but there isn't any soup!"
