Part 3. You will hear a talk: A school trip to Washington, D.C..
Okay, everybody, listen up. Here's the information about our class trip to Washington, D.C.
We're leaving on Monday, the twelfth of May, and coming back on Thursday evening. The bus leaves from the school parking lot at six thirty in the morning, so please be there at six fifteen. If you're late, the bus will not wait for you.
The trip takes about seven hours, with two short stops on the way. Bring something to read, because there's no Wi-Fi on the bus.
In Washington, we're staying in a hostel near Union Station. Not a hotel, so don't expect anything fancy. You'll be in rooms of four.
On Tuesday morning we'll see the Lincoln Memorial and the White House, from the outside, of course. In the afternoon we have a guided tour of the Capitol, where Congress meets. On Wednesday you can choose between two museums.
Very important: for the Capitol, everyone needs an ID card. No ID, no tour. So please don't forget it.
The price of the trip is four hundred fifty dollars. That includes the bus, the hostel, breakfast and dinner. Lunch you pay yourselves.
Finally, your parents need to sign the form I'm giving out now. Please bring it back by Friday and give it to Mrs. Okafor in the school office. That's O, K, A, F, O, R. Any questions?
