Club Day
Today is Club Day at Lincoln Middle School. In the gym, there are tables for all the after-school clubs. Students walk around and choose their clubs.
Jake goes straight to the Robotics Club. He loves building things, and he can write simple computer programs. "Our robots can walk, and they can pick up a ball," says Mr. Lee, the teacher. Jake can't wait!
Basia looks at the Drama Club poster. She likes acting, and she can sing well. But she hates speaking in front of a lot of people. "Maybe next year," she says.
Then she sees the Cooking Club. "I love cooking! I can make Polish pancakes." "Can you teach us?" asks a girl at the table. "Sure!"
Jake's friend Tyler is at the Chess Club. He can play chess very well, but he can't play any sports. "I don't like running," he says. "I like thinking!"
In the end, Jake chooses robotics and Basia chooses cooking. What club can you see yourself in?
