The Biggest, the Tallest, the Fastest
Our world is full of records. Here are some of the most amazing.
The biggest animal. The blue whale is the biggest animal in the world. It's about thirty meters long. That's longer than two school buses! It's bigger than any dinosaur, too.
The tallest animal. The giraffe is the tallest animal. It's about five and a half meters tall. It's taller than an elephant, and its neck is longer than a tall man!
The fastest animal on land. The cheetah is faster than a lion and faster than a horse. It's the fastest runner of all animals.
The highest mountain. Mount Everest is 8,849 meters high. It's the highest mountain in the world. Hoverla, the highest mountain in Ukraine, is only 2,061 meters high.
The coldest place. Antarctica is the coldest place on Earth. In winter, it's sometimes minus eighty degrees there. It's colder than a freezer, much colder!
