Jak na to
• Tvrzení si podtrhněte klíčové slovo (číslo, den, cenu) a v textu hledejte jen to.
• Slova only, all, always, never v tvrzení bývají past.

Summer Science Camp at Lakeview College
Are you between 14 and 17 and curious about how the world works? Then join us for two weeks of experiments, trips and new friends at the Summer Science Camp at Lakeview College in Michigan! The camp was started in 2010 by Dr. Helen Brooks, a chemistry professor who still leads it every year.
When and where
The camp runs from July 7 to July 20. Campers live in the college dormitories, two students in each room. Boys and girls sleep in separate buildings. All meals are served in the college cafeteria, and vegetarian food is available every day. If you have a food allergy, please tell us when you register.
What you'll do
Every morning, campers work in the college laboratories in small groups of six. You can choose two of these four subjects: chemistry, biology, physics and robotics. Please note that robotics is very popular and has only 24 places, so register early. Afternoons are for sports, swimming in the lake and trips. In the first week we visit a car factory in Detroit, and in the second week we spend a night at an observatory to watch the stars. On the last day, every group presents its project to parents and teachers.
What it costs
The price is $1,200 and includes everything except the trip to the observatory, which costs $40 extra. Students whose families can't pay the full price can ask for a scholarship. Last year, one in five campers received one. To apply, send a short letter explaining why you want to come.
What to bring
You don't need any special equipment: lab coats and safety glasses are provided. Bring comfortable clothes, a swimsuit, a warm jacket for the night at the observatory, and a towel. Phones are allowed, but they must stay in your room during lab time.
How to register
Registration opens on March 1 and closes on May 15, or earlier if all 96 places are filled. You can register online at www.lakeviewscience.org. You will need a short recommendation from your science teacher. We'll let you know if you have a place by the end of May.
